Session Facilitators Needed
This is an opportunity for attendees to become involved in the conference. Kelly Cavanagh, ITT Technical Institute, Hilliard, Ohio, is coordinating this important part of the conference. Session facilitators are needed for each session. This consists of picking up the biographical information and presenter award(s) from Kelly prior to their assigned session, introducing the presenter(s) of the session, assisting the speaker with handouts during their presentation, gathering session evaluation forms at the conclusion of the session, and returning the session evaluation forms to the registration table following the session.

Want to put your students in the driver’s seat when it comes to learning? Ford Partnership for Advanced Studies (Ford PAS) has developed everything you need to make that happen. Using inquiry-based learning methods, the Ford PAS curriculum contains everything you need to implement this amazing curriculum package in your classroom. This workshop will be delivered using the inquiry-based model and will show you how to use the resources provided by Ford PAS. No matter whether you teach middle-school, high-school, or post-secondary, there is something for you in Ford PAS; and you will leave ready to use the curriculum.

Do you Moodle? If so, this session will demonstrate how to create and utilize rubrics using Moodle. Posting a rubric in Moodle allows students to access it at their convenience. It also enables students to cross-check their work with the standards and points that the instructor has established. Entering graded work through the Moodle rubric will also be demonstrated. Multiple rubrics can be created for all types of assignments, from offline assignments to single and multiple file uploads. |

Attendees will learn how to create informative PowerPoints using these educational movies for classroom use. Teachers will love this session to create more dynamic and informative lessons, and your students will love this as a lesson by creating their own PowerPoints on a topic of their interest. |
